See you out on the water! SVSC.
SVSC is a very small, very friendly club based at Swan Pool in the lovely surroundings of Sandwell Valley Country Park. We offer a regular sailing program for all ages and abilities, including friendly club racing, training and general sailing with safety boat support.
Welcome to Sandwell Valley Sailing Club.
For those new to the sport, why not contact us about a taster session? We can get you afloat for your first sail with an experienced sailor or instructor. Click here for more details.
There is an RYA recognised Training Centre here, competent to provide a full range of Dinghy, Windsurf and Powerboat courses and qualifications, with tuition and guidance from their qualified RYA Instructors. Click here for more details.
If you are tempted to take up this exhilarating sport accessible to anyone, or are already a sailor looking for a new club, then click here to learn more about our extremely competative membership options and review our current Membership Packages.
We meet on Thursday afternoons (& evenings in summer) and Saturday afternoons, but sometimes sail at other times if people are interested.
If you are in the area and fancy dropping by, we would be more than happy to show you around or discuss ways in which we may be able to get you afloat.
Sunday 25th November
The committee have decided we need to tidy the place up a bit and have set Sunday 25th November for this.
Start 10 am. All welcome.
If you let Sue know you're coming, there may be food provided to sustain you in your work.
If you have ANYTHING at the club - boats, sails, trailers, spars, foils, bits of rope, whatever, please LABEL IT, lest the tidyers take it away and destroy it!
Someone has threatened to bring a skip, a chainsaw and an angle grinder. We will attempt to restrain him, but he's bigger than us!
If you need help with this, please contact me ASAP and before 25th Nov.
Other tasks include :
internal cleaning, tidying, sorting,
outside clearing weeds and branches, checking all club boats and their equipment.
Maybe a bit of painting.
More details when I know them.
